Kiara Solar is working with Siskiyou Forest Products to restart a 6 MW Biomass Power Plant in Anderson, CA and supply steam to adjacent Kilns. The restart will generate 15 direct local jobs at the Plant. The reactivation of the Kilns will result in about 35 direct local jobs. The net result will be 50 direct jobs and with a 4:1 ratio between direct and indirect jobs, the restart will create approx. 200-250 jobs in the local area while creating renewable energy. This project is made possible through a power purchase agreement with the local utility. A Phase II Solar Thermal Addition is planned to augment the production of energy with a solar thermal field integrated into the existing generation facility.
Kiara Solar has acquired land for a 1.5 MW AC Photovoltaic Solar Array in Northern California. Generated energy is to be sold to the local utility under small generator provisions. Permits are in process.
